Acumen Engineering is a leading polymer distributor with a strong presence across Southeast Asia and China. Established in Singapore in 2000, the company has grown significantly, operating from 15 offices and 21 strategically located warehouses throughout the region.
Acumen specializes in a comprehensive range of polymer solutions, including commodity plastics, engineering plastics, specialty compounds, and elastomers. By combining deep industry expertise with a robust distribution network, Acumen consistently delivers high-quality products and exceptional service, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner and industry leader.
Mission & Vision
Polymers are fascinating macromolecules composed of repeating units called monomers. Their long-chain structures can exhibit a wide range of properties depending on their chemical makeup and composition. From soft, flexible plastics to strong, durable fibers, polymers are an integral part of our everyday lives.
At Acumen, we share the same mission and vision as our parent company, Ravago; a global leader in plastics and chemical distribution.
By focusing on strategic partnerships with global manufacturers, Acumen continues to strengthen its footprint in the Asian market - particularly in the Automotive, Medical, and Electrical & Electronics (E&E) sectors. Milestones
2000 – Acumen Engineering was established in April in Singapore.
2001 – A new office was opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
2002 – Representative office established in Jakarta, Indonesia.
2002 – Operations expanded to Penang, Malaysia with Acumen Kinetic.
2003 – Acumen began operations in Shanghai, China.
2006 – Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification, demonstrating commitment to quality management systems.
2009 – Started offering eco-friendly solutions with Lavergne’s regenerated materials.
2010 – New office established in Guangzhou, China.
2011 – Further expansion in China with the opening of Wuhan offices.
